App ! Cafe Nomad

Airbnb is our #1 app to book long-term stays as digital nomads. You get to see a wide variety of apartments, houses, private rooms and more. Since the pandemic, I feel their platform has become a little more digital nomad friendly adding features like wifi speeds, monthly stays and being able to add +3,5,7 days to your dates helps a lot.

As digital nomads, you work from tons of different places and use lots of different wifi networks. These networks open you up to the risk of being hacked, spied on or picking up some nasty malware. VPNs are an easy layer of protection from all of these things. But VPNs are more than just security. What if you want to watch HBO Max or Hulu from another country. Use a good VPN and you can.

Most people post their real experiences and ask questions to form discussions on various topics. A great place to hang out if you want the latest news on first-hand experience of how to get into Thailand in 2022 (a repetitive search for us lol) or simply to ask how to become a digital nomad.

In Paris, cafes tend to tolerate you for as long as you like, but a quick espresso standing at the bar will cost you much less than having the same seated at a table. And a table inside, costs less than a prime spot on the terrace.

This is one of those apps for digital nomads that will make you reconsider owning a tablet. Even though we use our iPad for many things such as offline Netflix, mobile photo editing or music apps, it has made working so much easier for us with a second screen.

When public transport is unreliable, non-existent or not convenient, transportation apps for digital nomads are the way to go. They have certain advantages compared to regular cabs, especially when travelling or living somewhere new.

Duet and Workfrom seem very useful to me. This is actually a very effective list for digital nomads. I already use Uber for booking taxis and sometimes bikes in some countries, and also always Splitwise when traveling with friends as it helps me manage the accounts for all of us.

Wow thank you for this list. It is very useful especially now that I am looking for being a digital nomad. I already use some of the apps like currency exchanger, google maps and now I will download some of the other apps straight away and see how they work.

Located in Tambon Mae Nam, Mantra Work Lounge offers plenty of reasonably priced options in terms of membership packages. For example, a daily pass costs THB 600 while a weekly package will set you back THB 3,500. Digital nomads can also subscribe to a monthly membership for THB 12,000. This spot is open from 9:00 to 21:00, Monday to Sunday.

Like I mentioned above, neighbourhoods in Koh Samui differ from each other and this has a direct influence on the price. For example, because of its popularity among digital nomads and expats, apartments in Lamai can be on the more expensive side, with prices ranging from THB 30,000 to THB 50,000 per month. However, properties in this area are quite spacious, and most complexes include extra amenities such as swimming pools or fitness rooms.

Digital nomads who are traveling on a limited budget should also pay close attention to their choice of neighbourhood. Generally speaking, areas with the highest concentration of locals tend to be more affordable. Therefore, you may want to consider neighbourhoods such as Maenam Beach, Bo Put, and Chang Wat where a small, basic studio can be as cheap as THB 6,000 per month.

For longer stays, you can always go on a cheap visa run to one of the neighbouring countries or apply for a visa extension before your tourist visa expires. Additionally, you may also wish to check out the Smart Visa, a relatively recent concept that makes it easier for digital nomads to both live and work in the country. It should be noted that this particular visa is mainly granted to investors, start-up companies, as well as entrepreneurs who wish to start their own business anywhere in Thailand. The good thing about this visa is that you will be able to stay in the kingdom for up to four years.

In September, digital nomads will be treated to the annual Koh Samui Anniversary Festival which is usually held in Chaweng as well as the port city of Nathon. During this time, the entire island bursts into life, offering plenty of cultural exhibitions, craft fairs, concerts, and complimentary buffets set up on several beaches.

As far as schooling is concerned, digital nomads traveling with children will be glad to learn that there are five main international schools on the island: Greenacre International School, Oonrak Koh Samui Bilingual School, Lamai International School (LIS), PanyaDee, the British International School of Samui, and the International School of Samui.

Thailand has ranked as one of the best countries for digital nomads in the world. This is no surprise considering everything it has to offer. Not only is it an island paradise, but it also boasts some of the most innovative and buzzing cities in the world.

The Netherlands is a stunning destination that has been catching the attention of many tourists and expats alike. It is a country full of museums, beautiful landscapes, and a buzzing food scene. While there is no specific digital nomad visa for The Netherlands there are ways that nomads can live and work in this European country.

There is no exact digital nomad visa for The Netherlands per se. However, there is an alternative that digital nomads can use. The Netherlands offers the opportunity for digital nomads to register as independent workers in the country, and live with a long-stay visa. This visa is called Netherlands long-stay or MVV Visa.

For foreigners who wish to obtain a digital nomad visa for The Netherlands in order to work as a remote freelancer, independent entrepreneur or establish a startup in Holland, they need to apply for the self-employed residence permit.

Permanently CLOSEDWe're excited to pass this location over to one of our managers and his family. The new cafe will be called Sunday to Sunday. They'll still carry Irving Farm New York Coffee, and have exciting changes planned!

I love to learn and teach. I am a free-spirited creator, and have been traveling the world as a digital nomad for over three years. My courses focus on selling art online, energy work, and music. I teach what would help a younger me, including the strategies I used to sell over 20,000 copies of my artwork without paid advertising, energy techniques I have learned to unlock human potential, and tips to help musicians. 2ff7e9595c
